They have some decent hero builds and farming builds. And since I have a hard time coming up with either of those, I use it for that. Most of their builds are fairly inane though.

A. All the time
I have next to no skills unlocked and I can't be bothered to waste my time looking at the hundreds or so skills here or at GuildWiki to make my own build. I'll eventually tweak the builds to my own liking with whatever the heck I decided to learn with a tome that I found during HM.

Only ever look at wiki to see what the current meta is, and then I figure out how to counter it.

I only take certain ideas but I don't adopt the whole build.

The wiki is always way behind the meta. How many years did it take them to write up the legoway build again? (And it's still wrong.)

Never did and never will. Had way to much problems with mindless people that used the builds without understanding them. The risk of becoming a mindless Copypaste Drone is too great.

Mostly research, wouldn't like to see it dissappear.
Using them to reflect on builds, at time when I don't have access to gw, but do have internet access
so the official and pvx wiki's are my close friends

As has been said, great place to get some ideas and models for a build.
Would have liked to seen that site offer more discussion along with more "untested" builds. It seems too canned and limited at this point.

It seems most people are not using PvXWiki. The irony of it is, if you go to a post or town to do missions and quests, people are using them. If fact, if you build outside the meta, you get kicked out of the party or be called a noob.
If we say interrupt ranger, we know basically what the skills are . Or shock warrior warrior, flag-runner, bonder, spirit spam, SS, obby tank, phoenix blossom, blind surge, so many other else you can see at actual play.
I have the feeling most of us use PvXWiki as "starting point" and then we change a skill or two or three as our experience dictate. If this is our desciption of "originality", I think everyone classify as original build user. Or we are just toying with words.
Do I use PvXWiki build? I do because when I join parties PUGS, guildies, friends, they insist I use PvXWiki build or a tweaked version of them.
Pivotal word here is "tweak".
My take.

I prefer to use a wiki build than to be with a bunch of suckie homemade build guys who says wiki sucks, seriously, its tested by the gw people and i think you can have still the fun to use one than to create a horrible one.

I have searing flames on my elementalist hero. I think I got the original from PvX, although I've replaced the rez with maelstrom (uber interrupt in PvE due to faulty mob AI).

i dont. i make my own bars from scratch and anything i find effective on wiki
i have already compiled myself something similar. LEARN SKILL SYNERGY FOR YOURSELF I say. by the time you get to the point where you can steal a cookie cutter, you will find you dont nee to as you already problably have
come up with them on your own.

I use it for farming builds mostly but when I see a concept for a good build I usually use it as a base and get rid of the skills I think are crap.
Also for heroes, I'd rather use something on them that someone else has already tested.
